March Madness

Posted by on in Pastor's Blog
Ah yes, March Madness. if this phrase is familiar to you then you know exactly what I am talking about, NCAA Men's Basketball. Once that football season is over I so look forward to the tournaments of March. Each and every year there is so much excitement in the air. Who is going to get the Number One seed? Who is getting into the "dance" and who is left out? What will the seeding look like? What road will my team have to go through to get there? And then of course that all important issue... the bracket.   The bracket,...

Love Covers ALL Offenses

Posted by on in Pastor's Blog
I have to admit I don't spend a lot of time in Proverbs. But today I was looking for something and came across this passage from Proverbs 10:12, "Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses." Such a small verse, but worth the time to meditate upon. Psalm 23 is beautiful. It is rich with the image of the shepherd and what he does. Comforting, soothing words that we need to hear. He Is Risen...

Posted by on in Pastor's Blog
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. Satan could not stop Him and death could not hold Him. Jesus Christ is an unstoppable force who is the first and the last. People can try to refute the evidence of His resurrection or deny His deity as True God as people for centuries always have, but the truth and power of the Son of God stands the test of time, space and eternity.   At the entrance to the empty tomb we find no body. He is Risen just as he said! Christ has...

Welcome to the New Website

Posted by on in Pastor's Blog
Welcome to the new Website for Emmaus Lutheran Church. As with any good website, this is a growing project and is not static. We will be adding and changing things as this site continues to evolve as a means to first communicate who we are in Christ Jesus, and secondly, for our members to use this as portal for both information and integration.   We are certainly open to ideas and suggestions. Please feel free to comment on what would be helpful to you about our mission, who we are or the Great message of the Good News of the Love...
